Natures Way Foods CEO appointed IGD trustee

13 June 2016

Natures Way Foods (NWF) is proud to announce the appointment of our CEO, Susan Barratt, as an IGD Trustee. The appointment takes effect immediately and will last until the end of 2019.

IGD is a research and training charity that helps the food and grocery industry deliver public benefit. Its Chief Executive is responsible to its trustees for the management of its charity operations, and trustees are drawn from IGD members.

In her role as a Trustee, Susan will be part of a team responsible for providing oversight, scrutiny, governance and leadership in the fulfillment of IGD’s charitable purposes. She joins fellow Trustees drawn from across the food and grocery industry, including Ann Bell, People Director, International (Tesco plc), and Paul Mills-Hicks, Food Commercial Director, Sainsbury’s.

Susan commented: “I am honoured to be appointed a Trustee of IGD. The activities undertaken by IGD to further our industry are unparalleled. I am committed to playing an active role in the governance of the charity, ensuring that it continues to fulfill its purpose and to advance its role within the industry.”

Consumers expect more from the food and grocery industry, making it more important than ever to support the work of IGD as it strives to develop the industry’s talent, provide insight and leadership, and create sustainable best-practice standards.
